Abstract
The objective of this article was to design didactic strategies based on origami to improve the learning of mathematics in ninth-year students of Basic General Education of the Eladio Roldós Barreiro Educational Unit. Methodologically, a mixed approach is proposed using the qualitative and quantitative; Likewise, the design that was applied is non-experimental, since no type of experimentation with study variables is carried out. The research population is made up of two teachers and 70 students. The data collection technique is the interview with the teachers and student surveys. As main results, the teaching staff says they know the didactic strategies and didactic resources, however, despite knowing how to use them and their importance, these are not applied in their teaching modality, without a doubt, it can be improved by encouraging them to apply the didactic strategies, offering clear and detailed alternatives. Thus, as a proposal for the improvement of the detected reality, the present work closes with the approach of four didactic strategies for the teaching of certain mathematical contents.
