Abstract
The study analyzed the use of ICTs in the emotional development of boys and girls with autism, revealing that the integration of technological tools in the classroom generated significant improvements in the emotional expression and social interaction of the students. Through observations and interviews with teachers, it was found that ICTs, such as tablets and educational applications, facilitated communication and helped reduce anxiety, although challenges were identified in teacher training and the adaptation of tools to individual needs. The results indicated that, despite the limitation in technological infrastructure and specialized training, ICTs showed great potential to promote emotional self-regulation and improve social interactions. It was concluded that, although more studies are required to generalize these findings, the use of technologies is promising to support the emotional development of children with autism, suggesting the need for more specific training programs for teachers.
