Abstract

The article presented an exhaustive analysis of the implementation of a training program aimed at strengthening the preventive culture of workplace safety in the company SIEXPAL S.A., Santo Domingo 2024. The research was based on three essential theoretical foundations. Firstly, Geller's (2001) occupational risk prevention model highlighted the importance of promoting proactive safety behavior, emphasizing that safe behaviors must be encouraged and maintained over time. Secondly, Argyris and Schön's (1978) organizational learning theory highlighted the need for continuous training as a means to improve organizational culture, promoting greater adaptability and response to occupational risks. Finally, Reason's (1997) systemic approach to workplace safety approached safety from a comprehensive perspective, considering both human and technical factors in accident prevention and risk management.
The study methodology adopted a mixed approach, combining qualitative and quantitative techniques to obtain a comprehensive view of the impact of the training program. Surveys were used to collect data from employees about their perception of the safety culture, complemented by interviews with company authorities and a documentary analysis of existing workplace safety records. The results of the study showed a significant improvement in the implementation of preventive measures and in the perception of safety culture among employees, which underlined the importance of continuous training and constant updating of safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment. safe and effective.
