Abstract

This study provides a comprehensive view of the perception of Textile Manufacturing students regarding the management of textile remnants and the implementation of sustainable practices in the industry. The results emphasize the importance of moving towards a more sustainable approach to textile manufacturing, while also identifying areas for improvement and opportunities to drive positive change in the management of textile remnants. To achieve this objective, a mixed research methodology was used at a descriptive level, which combined quantitative and qualitative approaches in a field study. Initially, a comprehensive analysis of the business situation was carried out through surveys and interviews to collect data in order to obtain detailed information on the practices and internal context related to textile remnants. The developed proposal covered various methods to optimize the reverse logistics process in textile remnants. A detailed analysis of these remnants was deepened, highlighting their importance in terms of sustainability and proposing effective strategies for their management. This study also highlighted how reverse logistics can reduce the environmental impact of textile remnants and how the implementation of innovative practices can recover and prolong the value of the products or materials involved.
