Abstract

The investigation was carried out in the company EMPROMAQ, based in Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas. The fundamental purpose of this study was to analyze the impact of the storage of the products handled by the company in its inventory. This research used a mixed methodology, combining qualitative and quantitative approaches to obtain a complete understanding of the current situation of the company. Relevant information was collected and analyzed to determine the key aspects that influence the performance of the company. The justification for this lies in its ability to increase the productivity of the company, optimizing both the use of resources and the study times of operation. The data collection was carried out through an interview with the head of logistics operations of the company, a survey addressed to four employees and direct observations. These methods made it possible to identify that the company faces challenges in terms of product storage, which affects the carrying out of inventories and delays subsequent processes. In conclusion, this study proposes an improvement strategy that will contribute to the efficiency of the logistics processes related to the variables analyzed. By implementing the proposals, EMPROMAQ will be able to optimize its product storage, thus boosting its overall performance and its ability to face inventory and operational challenges.
