Abstract

The main objective of this project was the development of a web application intended to inform the community of Santo Domingo about the critical and black points in terms of traffic accidents that occurred during the year 2022. For this, the statistics of traffic accidents available, which were obtained through the database of the Municipal Public Transport Company of Santo Domingo (EPMT SD). The methodology used included a non-experimental design, a quantitative approach, and a cross-sectional field study. Based on an analysis of the data, it was possible to identify trends and patterns in traffic accidents in the city, which made it possible to determine the locations with the highest frequency of road events. To visually represent this information and make it interactive for users, a web application was created based on the collected data. This application presents the data in real time through a map, which enables users to visualize the information in an intuitive way. Provides detailed information on previously identified hotspots and blacks, enabling advanced analytics to identify patterns and trends. Ultimately, this tool will be very useful for local authorities in charge of traffic management, as it provides them with essential information for decision-making aimed at improving road safety in the city.
