Relationship between e-government and records management in the Provincial Municipality of Huánuco

Abstract
The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between e-government and document management at the Provincial Municipality of Huánuco during the period 2023-2024. To this end, the research followed a quantitative, correlational, and non-experimental design. A Likert-type questionnaire was administered to 65 employees with knowledge of the municipality's document management system. The results showed a strong positive correlation between the two variables (rs=0.749, p<0.05) and significant correlations in all dimensions analyzed. Therefore, it was concluded that e-government is a fundamental pillar that strengthens municipal document management, given the high correlations in workflows and processes. However, this does not negate the presence of structural barriers that require special attention and can be addressed through training policies and regulatory alignment.
