Abstract
The influence of parenting styles on the cognitive and socio-emotional development of toddlers is an essential topic in the psychology of their learning. These styles are all the strategies and methods that parents apply in raising children, and each of the styles has different impacts on their development. The objective of this article was to analyze the functions of the family in the formation of the cognitive and socio-emotional development of children in early education, it is valuable to determine how the influence of parenting styles is part of their comprehensive development, in order to show that Each action is significant in the cognitive and socio-emotional formation of children, being reflected in their daily lives. A qualitative methodology was used, the inductive-deductive method and bibliographic review. Support in initial education is essential in the first years since their future depends on it, because it is at that stage that their training and maturation develops. Parenting styles significantly influence how toddlers develop their cognitive and socio-emotional skills; during this early stage, children are particularly receptive to family and school interactions.
