Abstract
This scientific article addresses the implementation of controls for the elimination of hazards and the reduction of ergonomic risks in banana production at the Mishilí Farm during the year 2024. The study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the work safety strategies applied in the agricultural environment, focusing on the identification, evaluation and control of ergonomic risks. Through a combined methodology that included the application of rubrics, observation sheets, surveys and interviews with supervisors, significant deficiencies in documentation and the application of risk control measures were identified. The results revealed a gap between theory and practice, highlighting the need to improve occupational safety training and monitoring. This study contributes to the advancement of knowledge by providing a critical evaluation of current practices and suggests the implementation of more effective training programs and more rigorous monitoring strategies to improve safety in agricultural production. Limitations of the study, such as the sample size and the methodology used, indicate the need for additional research to delve into the effectiveness of the interventions and adapt safety practices to different agricultural contexts.
