Abstract
We are in an era of change marked by advancements in science, social shifts, a new economy, and environmental changes. Since the early 2000s, concepts and public policies have been developed around what we know as the 'information society' or 'knowledge society,' characterized by the extensive use of Information Technologies to support various economic and social sectors. This study describes several elements that are part of this new society, complemented by an analysis of the evolution from electronic government to a governance model based on transparency, participation, and innovation known as Open Government. It compiles the action plans of the national government and two local governments regarding Open Government
