The Boletín Científico Ideas & Voces de la Academia maintains a strict policy of academic integrity and scientific originality aimed at preventing plagiarism, self-plagiarism, data manipulation, redundant publication, and any form of unethical conduct within the editorial process.

All manuscripts submitted to the journal undergo verification through specialized similarity detection and anti-plagiarism tools, in addition to academic review conducted by the Editorial Committee and scientific peer reviewers.

The verification process includes the analysis of:

  • textual similarities,

  • grammatical and structural overlaps,

  • uncited reuse of content,

  • inappropriate use of sources,

  • fragmented publications,

  • and potential self-plagiarism practices.

The journal requires all authors to:

  • guarantee the originality and unpublished nature of their work,

  • properly cite all sources used,

  • respect international intellectual property principles,

  • and declare that the manuscript has not been previously published nor simultaneously submitted to another scientific journal.

Manuscripts showing evidence of plagiarism, academic misconduct, ethical violations, or scientific manipulation may be:

  • immediately rejected,

  • withdrawn from the editorial process,

  • or retracted after publication, depending on the severity of the case.

The journal reserves the right to apply similarity detection and anti-plagiarism analysis at any stage of the editorial workflow, including:

  • submission,

  • editorial screening,

  • peer review,

  • copyediting,

  • publication,

  • and post-publication stages.

The editorial policy of the journal is based on the international ethical principles promoted by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), as well as internationally recognized standards of good practices in scholarly publishing and scientific communication.

Text similarity detection alone does not automatically constitute evidence of plagiarism. Therefore, all similarity reports are academically evaluated by the Editorial Committee considering the context, methodology, citation practices, and scientific characteristics of each manuscript.

The journal promotes a culture of scientific integrity, academic honesty, editorial transparency, and responsible research practices, contributing to the strengthening of quality, credibility, and ethical standards in international scientific production.
