Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze the situations related to storage and its impact on the inventory of the company "La Casa del Sombrero". This research work uses a mixed nature approach, incorporating observation, interview and survey techniques, which implies the coexistence of qualitative and quantitative components. The underlying purpose is to propose alternatives aimed at solving the problems identified in the areas of storage and inventory management. To achieve this, the cubing method was carried out, whose main objective is to distribute spaces and dimensions for the arrangement of products on the shelves, as well as to understand the factors that influence storage management, such as poorly stored products, deteriorated, lost and inefficient management of warehouse space and inventories. The present research proposes the implementation of a layout design that facilitates an efficient distribution of products and spaces, promoting an optimal flow of personnel. Likewise, the adoption of the ABC method for the rotation and classification of the most demanded products is proposed, in order to improve the profitability of the company "La Casa del Sombrero".
