Abstract

The article details a project focused on the creation of two Mini Sumo RC Robots. The study was based on the quantitative approach, with a correlational scope and a well-defined research design. The robots were designed with agility and responsiveness as priorities, equipped with motors capable of generating a torque of 6.5 Kg/cm. This torque was adjusted based on the weight of the robots, set at 500 grams. The quantitative methodology allowed to quantify the key characteristics of the robots, such as the torque force, the response speed and the durability of the materials used. The correlational scope focused on analyzing the relationships between these variables to understand how they influence their performance. The research design was structured around the implementation of a control card, which included an ESP32 Wifi-Bluetooth module, an L298N driver, a Step-Down Mini 360 voltage regulator, and a DualShock 4 controller. Both the mechanical design and the electronic were carried out with the tools SketchUp and Proteus, respectively. The mechanical parts are made of black steel, PLA, and bronze, and the control board is made using a CNC router to ensure precision and durability in component welding. The validation of the project was carried out through the participation in two international tournaments obtaining the first place.
