Abstract

This work proposes to analyze the characteristics related to road safety in the parish seat of Alluriquín for the year 2023. The relevance of this research lies in its ability to evaluate the current state of road safety in the urban center of Alluriquín and, From these findings, provide essential information for future road projects that may be developed in the parish. These projects are intended to improve both pedestrian and driver safety. It is vitally important that the community is fully informed about the characteristics of road safety, starting with respect for and compliance with traffic rules and regulations. The purpose of this study is to search for alternatives that promote awareness among drivers, with the aim of reducing the incidence of traffic accidents. This will be achieved through the analysis of the causes and consequences of these incidents, which may be related to social, cultural, family and personal aspects. Alluriquín has become a commercial and tourist development center of Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas, with a total of 45 precincts and approximately 20 settlements. The research focuses on the analysis and improvement of road safety in the parish of Alluriquín, considering various factors that influence traffic behavior. Measures will be proposed to prevent accidents and promote safe mobility for the benefit of the community and the integrity of citizens.
