Research acknowledges the serious impact of maltreatment on children's physical, emotional, and social development, as well as their academic performance and quality of life. The study takes a qualitative approach, using surveys and interviews to obtain valuable information from parents and educators. The results underscore a strong awareness of the relevance of preventing child maltreatment at this crucial stage of development. Both parents and educators recognize that prevention is essential for the well-being of children and their comprehensive development. Open communication between parents and children, as well as between educators and parents, stands out as a key strategy to prevent situations of abuse. Parents also express an interest in participating in workshops and talks on this topic, reflecting a desire to acquire more information and skills to prevent maltreatment. A notable aspect is the importance of integrating education on the prevention of child abuse in the school curriculum in the early childhood education stage. Most parents consider it essential that this subject be part of their children's learning, which reinforces the notion of school as a place where values of respect and coexistence can be instilled from an early age.
