Abstract
The following work focused on the exploration of the grieving process and support strategies in children aged 3 to 4 years who attend the Benjamín Carrión Educational Unit. Grief is an emotional and psychological response experienced after the loss of something or someone significant in a child's life, such as separation from parents, changes in their daily environment, the death of a pet or a close loved one. . The impact of these experiences on the socio-emotional development of children in this early stage of childhood is of great relevance. To achieve these objectives, an exhaustive review of the existing literature related to grief in children aged 3 to 4 years was carried out, analyzing previous studies and relevant theories in the field. The focus of this research is qualitative at an exploratory level, since it is a poorly studied topic, given that it involves the implementation of support strategies and the measurement of their effectiveness. The study included data collection through direct observation and interviews with parents and teachers. Through the surveys conducted, we sought to obtain a complete understanding of children's grief experiences and the strategies used by adults to provide support to them.
