Abstract
The objective of this work was to evaluate the effect of different doses of corn by-product as feed supplementation in broilers, in order to determine its viability in poultry feeding and its impact on productive performance. A completely randomized experimental design was carried out, using a total of 100 broilers distributed in four treatments: a control with 100% commercial feed and three treatments with different proportions of corn by-product (5%, 10% and 15%). Variables such as mortality percentage, weight gain, feed conversion ratio and feed consumption were analyzed. The results showed a low percentage of mortality in all treatments, being the control the one that presented the highest mortality. All treatments achieved weight gains, although without significant differences among them. The feed conversion ratio and feed consumption did not show significant variations, suggesting that the inclusion of corn by-product did not negatively affect broiler growth. In conclusion, the use of corn by-product was presented as a viable and economical alternative for feeding broilers, without compromising their productive performance, which could contribute to sustainability and cost reduction in poultry production.
