Abstract
The issue of psychotropic substance use represents a significant challenge in the current social context, generating concern among various educational actors, such as teachers, students, and families. This phenomenon not only affects the physical and mental health of those involved but also impacts family dynamics, the social environment, and future prospects, creating a vicious cycle that is difficult to break. Therefore, it is imperative to implement effective strategies to prevent and mitigate this issue in a sustainable and educational manner. This study aims to contribute to reducing the use of these substances through the design and implementation of educational workshops. These activities are designed to provide accessible and comprehensible information about the nature of psychotropic substances, the harm they cause at both personal and social levels, and the consequences of remaining trapped in a cycle of addiction. Additionally, they seek to foster preventive skills within the educational community and households. The research addresses the identification and analysis of the problem, the characterization of psychotropic substance use, and the evaluation of perceptions and needs from the perspectives of the educational community and families. Based on these insights, key content for the workshops is proposed, strategically designed to encourage informed decision-making, strengthen family bonds, and promote healthy and sustentable lifestyle.
