Abstract
The objective of this research was to evaluate the effect of two organic fertilizers on the crop yield of abaca (Musa textiles) Tangongón variety in three planting densities, in Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas; Two organic fertilizers were applied to the soil: pollinaza (ecoabonaza) and porquinaza (biocompost); the trial consisted of 24 experimental units of 35 m2. A randomized complete block design was used with a 3x2 factorial arrangement, with four repetitions; Three planting densities were used: low (816 plants.ha-1 , medium (952 plants.ha-1) and high (1111 plants.ha-1). Obtaining the following results, the application of poultry manure (ecoabonoza) reached the highest weights of the abaca pseudostem and tuxedo and therefore presented the highest yield of abaca fiber with 0.86 kg.pseudostem-1 ; in addition to the highest monthly increase in the number of leaves with 0.28 cm. In the low density, the best monthly height increase averages were obtained with 0.28; pseudostem diameter with 4 cm and 0.79 suckers per plant. The best benefit/cost ratio was obtained with the High density + Pollinaza with 0.69
