Abstract
In this research, we explored how exposure to children's literature influences the language skills of children aged 2 to 3 years, a crucial phase for language development. The main objective was to analyze the relationship between children's literature and linguistic development, using the "CDI Casita de Sueños" Child Development Center as a study setting. The methodology included a literature review, detailed observation of children in the CDI, and the use of interviews and observation sheets to evaluate language. The results highlighted that regular exposure to children's literature has a positive impact on linguistic development. Children exposed to more books and reading activities showed notable gains in verbal comprehension, vocabulary, and oral expression. The conclusions highlighted the importance of promoting children's literature from the early stages of childhood. This early exposure was shown to positively influence language development in children aged 2 to 3 years. This study highlights the relevance of integrating reading and literature in childhood environments to enrich language skills during these key formative stages.
