Education is one of the important points for the development of critical thinking in human beings, which leads to quality education, giving the possibility of expanding their knowledge and skills for personal and professional development, before which andragogy is to educate. to adults, focusing on their needs, experiences and motivations. In the context of this research carried out at the Tsáchila Higher Technological Institute, the objective

was to develop critical thinking skills in students. To do this, a descriptive and documentary methodology with a qualitative approach was used. As results, it was known that the majority of teachers apply andragogical principles in their teaching, however, it was identified that a minority group does not apply this discipline. It is concluded that critical thinking is one of the andragogical skills applied in the classroom and contributes to improving the quality of life of the participants, in the same way the andragogical methods used by teachers are problem-based learning and discussion. in groups essential to achieve quality education.
